Jury Returns NOT GUILTY Verdict for My Client Accused of Assaulting a Police Officer with a Dangerous Instrument

When I started my own practice in March of last year, only one of my clients believed in me enough to come with me from my old firm. He was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, a Class 2 Dangerous Felony, and was looking at over thirty years in prison if he was convicted. Last month, after nearly thirteen hours of deliberations, a jury returned a Not Guilty verdict and acquitted him. The list of people I have to thank is long, but at the top of that list is my client for seeing whatever it was he saw in me and taking the chance. I couldn't be happier for him and his family.
